As the Company CEO Ara Grigoryan told journalists, “the new brandy production was launched last week, with first sales scheduled for next Monday.” Previously a 10-year old brandy, “Armenia” will be re-launched as a 20-year old brand with a limited output of 10 thousand bottles. The Company CEO characterized the use of the alcohol of 1991 (independence declaration year) in production as a symbolic gesture. “Armenia” (retail price: AMD 55 thousand) was mainly manufactured for foreign export, with only 25% to be distributed in local market.
