“EU could have a policy to have individual negotiations with countries, but purpose is to facilitate the intentions of EU and to assure the security in neighborhood. Beneficiary from individual countries is not as much as it can be with the regions,” Charles-Ferdinand Nothomb told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

“Besides, it’s not only partnership with EU , but between the participant countries as well,” he said.

“The easy answer for EU about Karabakh is because we don’t look from inside,” Mr. Nothomb noted. “Besides, we are 27 and the opinions are different. Secondly, we could had some hope in this meeting to facilitate the interaction between the countries on the level of NGOs. And often it is the beginning of the solution.”

“Our solution is good contact between people. The technical answer is, if we had waited until the solution of all conflicts before cooperating, we won’t be in the point where we are. We can also live with problems! It shouldn’t be obstacle for bilateral or multilateral relations. We were building Europe, and the solution came in process,” he concluded.
