Galust Sahakyan: resignations are possible, but not a priority

PanARMENIAN.Net - Leader of the Republican Party of Armenia parliamentary group commented on rumors on the recent resignations of high-ranking officials.

“Although shift of positions is not ruled out it should not be a priority,” Galust Sahakyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Dwelling on the rumors about Armen Gevorgyan’s possible resignation, Sahakyan said the matter was not discussed at the meeting of Republican Party of Armenia council.

On November 1 parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan and Armenian police chief Alik Sargsyan offered resignation. The latter was further appointed as adviser to RA President. Deputy Defense Minister Vladimir Gasparyan was appointed to the post of police chief.
