Japanese Ambassador to Armenia ready to expand bilateral tiesNovember 9, 2011 - 15:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with newly-appointed Japanese Ambassador to Armenia, Tikahito Harada. Head of Armenian government congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and expressed confidence that latter will contribute to strengthening of Armenian-Japanese cooperation in different fields. The officials stressed that Armenian-Japanese ties possess great potential and have developed dynamically for the past years. “Armenia will take every effort to expand and strengthen mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in political, economic, cultural and other fields,” Prime Minister said. Tigran Sargsyan thanked Japanese government for the assistance extended in various fields and attached importance to exchange of information regarding business opportunities. Tikahito Harada, in turn, expressed readiness to foster furthering of Armenian-Japanese ties. Issues related to seismic safety, struggle against natural disasters and other fields were on the meeting agenda, governmental press service reported.
