RPA positive about economic and political results of 2011

PanARMENIAN.Net - Apparently, Armenia faces social problems but these are not insoluble, member of the ruling Republican Party Parliamentary said, giving a positive assessment of economic and political outcomes of 2011.

Reflecting on major achievements of current year Gagik Melikyan highlighted that “we managed to curb the inflation, reach the level of 2008 and even surpass it.”

The MP also pointed out the boost in agriculture and industry as well as marked achievements in economic diversification.

Regarding foreign policy, Melikyan stressed the visits of French, Lebanese Presidents to Armenia and President Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to Russia. Commenting on domestic policy, he remarked on international organizations praising the role of the authorities in “the process of Armenia’s democratization”.
