Elections won’t affect Karabakh talks – expert

PanARMENIAN.Net - Upcoming parliamentary election in Armenia and presidential elections in OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries will not influence the negotiation process over the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, according to the head of Academy of Political Research.

“The foreign policy of the United States, Russia and Europe does not depend on the elections,” Alexander Manasyan told a news conference in Yerevan.

As of elections in Armenia, the expert believes they should not affect the process lest political forces should use them for their own purposes. He stressed Armenian political forces should display solidarity over the issue.
