Armenian, Iranian leaders discuss Karabakh issue![]() December 23, 2011 - 16:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Currently in Yerevan, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with Armenian leader Serzh Sargsyan on December 23. The two men focused on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement stressing the need of peaceful solution to the issue, in compliance with international law principles. Presidents further focused on the situation in the Middle East attaching importance to establishment of peace and stability in the region. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is in Armenia on an official visit. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
