Mamoun Hariri attributed the start of protests to Al-Qaeda terrorists having crossed into Syria through Lebanese border. Dwelling on Turkey’s stand, Mr. Hariri stressed the need for Turkey to focus on interior war against Kurds. “Turkey should tackle its problems prior to advising Syria to follow its suit,” the diplomat stated.
