Georgia, Azerbaijan propose Metsamor Nucelar Power Plant closure?

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan proposes to create a nuclear-free zone in the South Caucasus. The initiative was put forward by Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev at the meeting with a delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Georgian Parliament Fridon Todua.

Mr. Aliyev expressed concern over the Metsamor Nucelar Power Plant endangering all the region's countries, according to spokesman for the ministry Azer Mensimli.

Azerbaijan proposed Georgia to support the closure of the nuclear power plant. The proposal was supported by Deputy Chairman of the Georgian Parliament, who promised to inform state bodies and the public after returning to Tbilisi, Trend reported.
