Turkish court rejects appeal to release Dink killer![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish Court of Appeals rejected on Monday, Jan 23, the appeal for release of Ogun Samast, the assassin of Turkish-Armenian journalist, Agos newspaper editor-in-chief Hrant Dink, the Anatolian news agency reported. Samast was earlier sentenced to 22 years and 10 months in prison for killing Dink and carrying an unlicensed gun. Last week, Istanbul's 14th Criminal Court found Yasin Hayal guilty for instigating the killing and sentenced him to "aggravated life imprisonment." Hayal and all other suspects including Erhan Tuncel were acquitted of acting on orders from a terrorist organization while the court sentenced Tuncel to ten years and a half behind bars in a case on bombing of a McDonalds restaurant in the Black Sea port city of Trabzon. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
