RPA member denies violations at Hrazdan elections

PanARMENIAN.Net - Dwelling on mayoral elections of Armenian northeast town of Hrazdan, head of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary group denied violations, with no official complaints submitted to the election commission.

“The one who loses always accuses the appositive side of frauds,” Galust Sahakyan said offering to consider opposition’s complaints in the context of the Armenian mentality.

Current mayor of the Armenian northeast town of Hrazdan, Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) candidate Aram Danielyan won the mayoral race on Sunday, Feb 12.

He garnered 13079 votes, while Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc member Sasoun Mikaelyan gained 11506 votes, according to Central Election Commission website. Police press service noted that investigation into the election violations recorded is presently under way.
