The two men discussed strengthening of cooperation, with Real Admiral Montgomery thanking Minister Ohanyan for professionalism of the Armenian peacemakers in Afghanistan and Kosovo. Holding of joint exercises and implementation of education projects was also in the focus of the meeting. As part of his visit to Armenia, the U.S. official also met with deputy head of Armenian Armed forces General Staff, lieutenant-general Stepan Galstyan.
