Artsakh President condemns terrorist act against Abkhaz leader

PanARMENIAN.Net - President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan condemned the terrorist attack against his Abkhaz counterpart Alexander Ankvab, committed on February 22.

“Your Excellency,

I am deeply indignant at the assassination attempt at You as the President of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Those who perpetrated this shocking crime, which was essentially an encroachment on the statehood of the Republic of Abkhazia, deserve the most severe punishment.

People and authorities of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic definitely condemn this outrageous terrorist attack and express solidarity and support to You and the people of fraternal Abkhazia,” the telegram addressed to Alexander Ankvab says, Central Information Department at NKR President's Office reported.

On February 22 morning an unknown person fired at the car of Abkhazian President Alexander Ankvab, who luckily was not injured.
