Turkey launches maneuvers near border with Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish armed forces have launched a military exercise in Turkey’s Kars Province near the border with Armenia.

Commander of the third field army General Ahmet Turmus monitors the maneuvers that have brought together about 2,000 people, CNN Türk reports.

It is noteworthy that Turkish President Abdullah Gül for the first time observes “Winter 2012” military exercise.
