According to the presidential press service, Mr. Sargsyan marked the special role and significance of Diaspora for Armenia. In this context, Sargsyan expressed hope that this bridge will further remain strong. “I sincerely hope that the young generation will maintain their Armenian identity and contribute to development of Armenian-Belgian relations,” he said. During the meeting, the President touched upon the prospects of developing cooperation with Belgium, European Union and NATO. In addition, issues relating to Armenian domestic and foreign policy were discussed. President Sargsyan said Armenia recorded significant progress in its ties with EU mentioning that Armenia holds talks over the Association Agreement and Visa Facilitation. He said this will further the development and deepening of Armenia-EU relations.
