German FM says his country will further assist Armenia’s developmentMarch 16, 2012 - 12:30 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia and Germany will continue deepening cooperation in economic, political and legal fields, Armenian and German Foreign Ministers, Edward Nalbandian and Guido Westerwelle said. “Though we have almost 30 agreements reached, we are currently working out new contracts and joint projects both in the economic and legal fields. The Armenian side is grateful to Germany for fostering establishment of the Republic of Armenia. This year marks the 20th anniversary of stepping up bilateral relations,” Minister Nalbandian said. German FM, in turn, stressed his country’s readiness to further support Armenia’s development, deepen bilateral cooperation and partnership under the Association Agreement. He further voiced hope for regular bilateral visits and continued high-level intensified cooperation. German Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Guido Westerwelle arrived in Armenia on March 16 on the invitation of his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian. He has already visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial. Meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is also on German FM’s visit agenda.
