Christian, Muslim experts participate in interreligious conference

PanARMENIAN.Net - The conference, organized by HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal and Director of the Interreligious and Intercultural Research and Dialogue Foundation, brought together over 75 Christian and Muslim experts from the Arab countries.

Discussion of future Christianity in the Middle East was on conference agenda. Archbishop Sebouh Sarkissian represented the Catholicosate of Cilicia. In his speech Prince El Hassan said that withdrawal of Christians in the region harms both Christians and Muslims, calling for Islamic leaders to reconsider their policy towards local Christians.

Archbishop met with the Price, conveying the greetings of His Holiness Aram I. Price, in turn, thanked the Archbishop Sarkissian, hailing Aram I’s efforts aimed at advancement of interreligious agreement.
