TV anchor prefers reporting to politics - paper

PanARMENIAN.Net - Anchor of Kentron TV company Petros Ghazaryan announced he refused to join the electoral list of Prosperous Armenia part because he prefers to further work as journalist.

“When I declared I want to enter the parliament, I supposed I could manage to combine MP’s activities with my work as a journalist. However, after a closer look at the processes, I saw it would not be possible; I must either be a full-fledged MP or remain a reporter,” Chorord Ishkhanutyun paper quotes Ghazaryan as saying.

“I suggested that Prosperous Armenia’s leader Gagik Tsarukyan should not include me in their proportional list. In addition, I thought the next parliament had a chance to be better in quality than the previous ones. Yet, when I saw election lists of various parties I realized that my decision for non-participation in the elections was absolutely justified,” the journalist said.
