Greece ready to assist Armenia in signing Association Agreement

PanARMENIAN.Net - Greece stands ready to extend assistance to Armenia in signing the Association Agreement with the EU, President of the Economic and Social Council (E.S.C.) of Greece said.

Christos Polyzogopoulos hailed the friendly relations between the two countries based on historical and cultural heritage.

“All political circles in the world are well aware of the fact that Greece backs Armenia,” he said at Yerevan State Linguistic University.

E.S.C. delegation comprising Secretary-General Apostolos Xyraphis and head of Public and International Relations Martha Theodorou is currently on visit to Armenia at the invitation of Armenian Public Council.

As Mr. Polyzogopoulos said, hard times that the Greek economy presently experiences bears hard on the people.

“We are confident of our ability to handle the crisis and play a leading role in Europe,” he added.
