Hovik Abrahamyan: Armenian-Russian trade and economic ties need to be developed

PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 20, Speaker of the Armenian parliament Hovik Abrahamyan met with Alexey Chernyshev, the Governor of Orenburg Region, Russia.

Abrahamyan expressed hope that the Governor’s visit will serve as an impetus for the development of ties, noting that the Armenian-Russian relations are among priorities of the Armenian foreign policy.

Around 70 regions of Russia have direct economic ties with Armenia, said Abrahamyan, adding that it is important to expand the trade and economic ties.

In his turn, Alexey Chernyshev briefed on economic situation of the region, noting that there are great opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation, the RA NA press service reported.
