Turkey realized its incapability to get involved in Karabakh process

PanARMENIAN.Net - The recent tensions in Israel-Turkey relations and RA President’s decision to suspend Protocols ratification made Armenian-Turkish rapprochement is unlikely, according to RPA member Artak Zakaryan.

As he noted at a joint news conference with another RPA member, MP Karen Avagyan, “further progress depends on Turkey only.”

“Latest events in Middle East may also affect Armenia’s foreign policy,” he added.

Karen Avagyan added, for his part, that Turkey finally realized it can’t get involved in Karabakh conflict settlement, with neither Armenia nor international community allowing of it.

Commenting on PanARMENIAN.Net reporter’s question regarding Armenia’s position on sanctions to be applied against Iran, Artak Zakaryan stated, “Iran is a neighbor, whose energy resources offer significant benefits to Armenia. We need to avoid impairing relations with this country.”
