Baku reasons its non-participation in Yerevan conference by preparation for electionsOctober 2, 2010 - 15:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of the Public Relations and Information Center at the RA President’s Office Ara Saghatelyan said that representatives of Azerbaijan were invited to an international theoretical and practical conference on Security Problems and Information Cooperation in South Caucasus, but has not managed to participate in it. Summarizing the conference results, Saghatelyan said that participation of Azerbaijani experts would contribute to its efficiency. Saghatelyan added that the absence of the Azerbaijani side was explained by preparation for elections in this country. “Actually, it would be hard to represent here a country, the Foreign Ministry of which is engaged in drawing blacklists,” Ara Saghatelyan said, adding that intolerance towards Armenians has been brought in Baku to the level of a state ideology.
