Why Joe Biden decided to slander Armenian President?

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan never called U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, a spokesman for the President stated.

“The men had two telephone conversations on Mr. Biden’s initiative in 2009, during which President Sargsyan did not make any direct or indirect statements ascribed to him in the YouTube video. Armenian President could never say that recognition of the Armenian Genocide may hamper normalization of relations with Turkey,” Armen Arzumanyan said, when commenting on the dialogue between an Armenian community representative with the U.S. Vice President, who stated that “Armenia’s President called him, asking the Obama Administration to refrain from recognizing the Armenian Genocide on the eve of the roadmap agreement and President Obama’s April 24 statement.”

“It was the Armenian President that called me and said ‘Look, do not force this issue now, while we are in negotiations’,” Biden said in the video.

“President Sargsyan emphasized the importance of the Armenian Genocide recognition in all his public statements. He also emphasized that the Genocide recognition should not be linked to the Armenian-Turkish talks. We are confident that the White House possesses the official transcript of Mr. Biden’s phone conversations. The Armenian presidential administration gives consent to publication of the conversation between President Sargsyan and the U.S. Vice President,” Arzumanyan said.
