Armenia wants to conceive where Europe is going![]() November 27, 2010 - 15:25 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said that Armenia should choose its way of self-organization in a fast-changing world. On its way to integration into the EU, Armenia is going to implement institutional reforms to bring self-organization of the Armenian people in harmony with the efficient self-organization of modern Europe, Mr. Sargsyan told European Perspectives in the Context of Eastern Partnership conference held in Yerevan on November 26-27. "However, we should not repeat what already exists, otherwise we will always be behind," he said. The Prime Minister brought the example of a "gap" between developed and developing countries that is continuously growing, despite the efforts of international structures aimed at reducing the "gap". "Repetition is not enough - we should conceive where Europe is going. And we see serious fundamental problems here," he said. According to Sargsyan, the Armenian people should focus on the values, the bearer of which it is, and choose its vector of self-organization based on it. At the same time, Sargsyan believes that this vector has no other alternative, but for the European one. The Prime Minister also pointed to the fact that the contemporary world transfers competition into the intellectual field, while those nations are competitive, which have a knowledge-intensive society. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
