Manvel Sargsyan: diplomatic cables release deliberate decision of Washington

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian expert Manvel Sargsyan stated that the release of 250 thousand U.S. diplomatic cables was a deliberate decision of the United States meant to cause a chaos.

However, Sargsyan refrained from expanding on possible aims of such venture.

Commenting on the OSCE summit in Astana, he said it’s a “sad event.”

“The absence of U.S. and French Presidents makes the summit incomplete. To all appearance, Sarkozy and Obama don’t believe the OSCE to be a platform to resolve serious issues,” Sargsyan said.

Public Policy Institute fellow Hovhannes Nikoghosyan disagreed with the opinion. “The OSCE is the organization which guarantees European security. I expect a security document to be signed during the Astana summit,” he said.
