Shavarsh Kocharyan: Azerbaijan is not trying to settle Karabakh issue

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan’s destructive policy isolates the country from the world, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan stated.

“At OSCE summit in Astana the following points were put forward in a joint declaration: all the principles of international law should be taken into consideration, without singling out a specific one; use of force categorically precluded in conflict settlement; ceasefire should be observed and snipers withdrawn from the line of contact,” he said.

As he remarked, international community yet another time attempted to bring Azerbaijan back to constructive negotiations. “Azerbaijan is not trying to settle the issue, instead waging a propaganda and information war against Armenia under the cover of negotiations. Unfortunately, certain part of our information field, some experts and even political forces became hostages to Azeri-circulated misinformation,” Kocharyan said.
