David Jamalyan: Artsakh army advantage is the young age and initiative of its commanders

PanARMENIAN.Net - Political analyst Alexander Manasyan said that due to the Armenian army Azerbaijan is still hesitant with respect to its ability to resolve the Karabakh conflict through a military way.

All achievements in the country were made thanks to the army, Manasyan told a press conference in Yerevan.

“Armenian soldiers, in contrast to other servicemen of the region, are not only well-versed in weapons, but they are also true patriots of their country,” Manasyan said, adding that the Armenian army is the most stable in the region.

Military expert Artsrun Hovhannisyan agreed with Manasyan, noting that many countries need years of training and weapons to celebrate victory in a war, while the Armenian army managed to do it without special preparation.

Military psychologist David Jamalyan noted that we need to refer to the army not only on January 28. He added that Armenian servicemen keep guard for 24 hours, what increases their sense of responsibility. As for the army of Artsakh, Jamalyan said: “The advantage of the Artsakh army is the young age and initiative of its commanders.”

January 28 will mark the 19th anniversary of the Armenian army. In 1991, the RA State Defense Committee was established as per a governmental decision. On December 5, Vazgen Sargsyan was appointed as Defense Minister. On January 28, 1992, a historical decision on Defense of the Republic of Armenia, i.e. establishment of the Armenian National Army, was adopted.
