Alexander Markarov: soonest resumption of hostilities impossibleFebruary 2, 2011 - 14:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Political analyst Alexander Markarov does not believe in possibility of soonest resumption of hostilities in the Karabakh conflict zone. According to him, the number of incidents may grow at the contact line, but one should not beware of a large-scale war at least within the upcoming six months. As for Azerbaijan’s accusations that Armenia is getting prepared for a new war, Markarov said that it is among steps of a propagandistic war aimed at distracting attention from Azerbaijan’s militarization. He added that Azerbaijan is the only country in Europe, which is openly flaunting the increase in its military expenditures. Political analyst Yervand Bozoyan noted for his part that Armenia should be ready for a war and prevent a misbalance in forces with Azerbaijan to exclude the war’s possibility. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
