Opposition: Zurabyan urges Karapetyan not to deal with “political ornithology”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Commenting on recent statement by leader of New Times party Aram Karapetyan, Coordinator of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Zurabyan urged not to compare leader of the ANC, Armenia’s first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan with a “dove” or “hawk.”

“I would refrain from drawing similar parallels specifically with respect to Ter-Petrosyan,” he said, adding that Karapetyan’s statement was just a self-advertisement.

On March 14, leader of opposition New Times party Aram Karapetyan called himself the oppositional “hawk”, while likening Armenian National Congress leader to a “dove.” According to Karapetyan, the authorities are attempting to weaken the positions of hawks, who better reflect current moods in the Armenian society.
