Baku’s threats to shoot down Artsakh-bound civil aircrafts is state terrorismMarch 23, 2011 - 16:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Military expert Artsrun Hovhannisyan said that Armenia’s air defense is the best in the region. Armenia’s air defense is even better than that of Turkey and Iran, Hovhannisyan told a press conference in Yerevan. Referring to Baku’s statements that it “will shoot down the aircrafts flying to Stepanakert airport, which is planned to be opened in May 2011,” the expert said it is another provocative act of Azerbaijan. “Azerbaijan’s threats should be qualified as state terrorism,” Hovhannisyan said, adding that it will be technically difficult for Baku to implement its threats. According to him, the Azerbaijani civil aviation is technically more vulnerable for the Armenian armed forces.
