Important archive materials will be published on Genocide 100th anniversary

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish studies expert Ruben Melkonyan is confident the Armenian Genocide will remain an actual issue even 100 years after its perpetration.

“I’m sure, the Turkish side is also actively preparing for April 24,” Melkonyan told a news conference in Yerevan.

He did not rule out that important archive materials will be published on the threshold of 100th anniversary of the massacres.

“training of Ottoman Turkish language specialists was launched in Armenia a couple of years ago; two experts have already set to work. However, I doubt any important documents are to be found in Turkish archives, Young Turks having destroyed every evidence of the fact of the Armenian Genocide,” the expert said.
