Armenian parliament approves expansion of peacekeeping mission to Afghanistan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Relations passed an agreement envisaging expansion of peacekeeping mission to Afghanistan.

In view of the importance of ISAF mission to Afghanistan, Armenian peacemakers’ term of stay will be prolonged till December 31, 2012. The number of peacemakers will be increased from to 130 (current number: 45), parliamentary press service reported.
