Expert: Sargsyan-Medvedev-Aliyev meeting to be aimed at war preventionMay 31, 2011 - 14:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Military psychologist David Jamalyan said the Kazan meeting between the Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian Presidents will be aimed at war prevention. “In my opinion, an agreement to rule out resumption of hostilities will be reached during the meeting and a statement is likely to be adopted to say that a new war is unacceptable,” Jamalyan told a press conference in Yerevan. According to him, Azerbaijan conceives that the international state of affairs is unfavorable for resumption of hostilities and the Armenian side is not weak enough for the Azerbaijani army to launch and win a blitzkrieg. “Thus, the meeting in Kazan will somehow push back the possibility of a new war,” said Jamalyan. He added that Azerbaijan will not resort to a war, its threats being just a tool of psychological pressure on the Armenian side.
