Armenian servicemen promise to "meet" Azerbaijani subversives appropriately also in future

Armenian servicemen promise to

PanARMENIAN.Net - Servicemen of the second battalion of the fifth company of Mardakert region of NKR Khachatur Baghdasaryan said that the unexpected attack of the Azerbaijani subversive group has not frightened them, as the acknowledgement of the fact that the enemy should not reach our territory has prevailed over fear.

After a short combat the enemy retreated, Baghdasaryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, commenting on the Azerbaijani subversive attack on the contact line of the Azerbaijani and NKR Armed forces on September 4 morning.

On September 21, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan awarded Baghdasaryan with Medal for Courage on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of Armenia's independence. Commenting on this, Baghdasaryan said: "I am very glad that our service has been estimated so highly, as if everyone thinks of the Fatherland protection as we do, Armenia would become another country."

Servicemen of the same battalion Arman Manukyan said that they did not expect a subversive attack from Azerbaijan. "We will "meet" Azerbaijanis much better next time," he said.

As for awarding him with Medal for Courage, the servicemen said he wishes his comrades-in-arms to be as courage as he is and be awarded for it.

Another subversive attack of the Azerbaijani armed forces was prevented by Nagorno Karabakh servicemen on September 4 morning. As result of a close combat, the Azerbaijanis retreated, leaving one killed in the territory controlled by the NKR army. The NKR Defense Ministry reported no casualties.
