The houses were constructed as part of the state program on dwelling construction in the earthquake zone to address housing problems of families left without roof over their heads as a result of the earthquake, the RA government’s press service reported. “Through this initiative, we have the opportunity to stress once again that the pre-electoral promise of President Serzh Sargsyan on provision of 7,000 families with dwelling is being implemented,” the Prime Minister said. According to Sarsgyan, it is a serious initiative and, despite social problems, specifically, the considerable economic decline in 2009, the program is implemented entirely. Tigran Sargsyan noted that construction program at the total amount of $250mln is implemented in the earthquake zone, as part of which 7,000 families will obtain dwellings.
