Certificates for 157 houses handed over to families suffered from earthquake

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited Sarahart village of Armenia’s Lori region to hand over certificates for 157 houses in eight villages.

The houses were constructed as part of the state program on dwelling construction in the earthquake zone to address housing problems of families left without roof over their heads as a result of the earthquake, the RA government’s press service reported.

“Through this initiative, we have the opportunity to stress once again that the pre-electoral promise of President Serzh Sargsyan on provision of 7,000 families with dwelling is being implemented,” the Prime Minister said.

According to Sarsgyan, it is a serious initiative and, despite social problems, specifically, the considerable economic decline in 2009, the program is implemented entirely. Tigran Sargsyan noted that construction program at the total amount of $250mln is implemented in the earthquake zone, as part of which 7,000 families will obtain dwellings.
