Sona Gharibyan: AMD 160 million returned to state budget from education sectorDecember 17, 2010 - 17:52 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Based on the results of 2009-2010 educational sector monitoring, the department of assessment of internal audit and financial control at Armenian Ministry of Finance managed to bring AMD 160 million back into the state budget, department head Sona Gharibyan stated. As she noted, “the violations, leading to excessive expenditures, were caused by universities’ providing inaccurate information about the students and their scholarships, as well as unjustified expenditures in the framework of educational sector reforms.” ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
