Number of Armenian language lessons increased in Georgia’s Armenian schools![]() March 28, 2011 - 16:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan was in Tbilisi on March 23-27 on the invitation of his Georgian counterpart Dmitry Shashkin and South-Caucasian office of Konrad Adenauer Foundation. The two Ministers reached an agreement on increasing the number of Armenian language lessons in Georgia’s Armenian schools. Besides, the parties agreed that Armenian specialists will participate in translation of textbooks from Georgian into Armenian, while teachers of Armenian language in Georgia’s schools will be henceforth trained in Armenia. The Ministers also signed a memorandum on allocation of 10 scholarships for students from the two countries. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan.
