Special brandy launched to mark Armenia 20th anniversary![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan Brandy Company has launched production of Armenia special brandy to mark the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence. As the Company CEO Ara Grigoryan told journalists, “the new brandy production was launched last week, with first sales scheduled for next Monday.” Previously a 10-year old brandy, “Armenia” will be re-launched as a 20-year old brand with a limited output of 10 thousand bottles. The Company CEO characterized the use of the alcohol of 1991 (independence declaration year) in production as a symbolic gesture. “Armenia” (retail price: AMD 55 thousand) was mainly manufactured for foreign export, with only 25% to be distributed in local market. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan.
