Elmar Mammadyarov: unresolved conflicts in Caucasus jeopardize regional security

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has said that unresolved conflicts in the Caucasus jeopardize regional security.

“We referred to issues of mutual interest and discussed in detail the unresolved conflicts in Caucasus, including the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, from the point of view of their relation to regional security,” Mammadyarov said at a joint press conference with his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze in Tbilisi.

According to the Azerbaijani Minister, energy issues also were in the focus of the meeting.

“There are projects with participation of Azerbaijan and Georgia. Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad is envisaged to be put into operation by the end of 2012 or beginning of 2013,” Georgia Online quoted the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister as saying.
