Baku tries to shift blame for Azerbaijani soldiers’ killing onto Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh denied reports of the Azerbaijani media that allegedly an Azerbaijani serviceman died as a result of ceasefire violation by the Karabakh army.

Spokesman for the NKR Defense Army Senor Hasratyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that Karabakh strictly observes the ceasefire, what cannot be said of Azerbaijan.

“On February 20 and 21, over 100 cases of ceasefire violation by Azerbaijan were reported. Azerbaijan fired 800 short at Karabakh positions. The NKR Defense Army took retaliatory measures,” Hasratyan said, adding that the Karabakh army controls the situation at the frontline.

According to recent reports by Azerbaijani media, Azeri army soldier Tural Murad Oglu Husseynov, 21, died as a result of fire opened by Armenian armed forces.
