Electronic reconnaissance and surveillance system installed on Marauder vehicles

PanARMENIAN.Net - Griffon Aerospace Middle East (GAME) company provided the Marauder mine resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicles produced by South Africa’s Paramount Group with electronic reconnaissance and surveillance systems, which is called the Long Ranged Armoured Reconnaissance Vehicle (LRARV).

Marauder was displayed on the GAME’s stand in the IDEX-2011 international defense exhibition in Abu-Dhabi, UAE.

Griffon Aerospace deputy CEO Archie Campbell told APA that Griffon installed the interior system of Marauder. The electronic reconnaissance and surveillance system is included here. With these installed system Marauder’s crew can follow the targets on land in any weather conditions, can target and open the fire. The installed cameras to the system give an opportunity to observe the distance to 10 km. The system has thermal sensors and infrared cameras. LRARV can also gather the information on the target’s coordinates.

Griffon-integrated Marauder is equipped with Zeiiss optic system and Thales weapon system.

Campbell also added that Paramount Group was interested in installation of these systems in production projects in various countries including Azerbaijan.

Paramount Group produces Matador and Marauder armoured mine protected vehicles in the Azerbaijani enterprises under license, APA reported.
