Russia to launch Glonass satellite Feb 26

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia says it plans to launch the country's new Glonass satellite from the Plesetsk space center on Saturday, Feb 26, after a two-day delay because of technical issues, VOA News reported.

The Glonass navigation system has a locating accuracy similar to the United States' GPS system. The Glonass system is set up for both civilian and military use. Glonass will be brought into orbit by the Soyuz carrier rocket.
