German Chancellor: Turkey-EU close ties to benefit all

PanARMENIAN.Net - Close ties between Turkey and the EU would benefit everyone, stated German Chancellor Angela Merkel in an interview with the Greek daily Kathimerini. In her words, Germany is going to implement EU measures aimed at easing the economic isolation imposed on Turkish Cypriots in northern Cyprus. From January 2007 Germany holds the term presidency of the European Union.
