Armenia effectively cooperates with NATO in framework of IPAP and PFP

PanARMENIAN.Net - U.S. Chargé d´Affaires in Armenia Anthony Godfrey is satisfied with the cooperation level between Armenia and NATO. "Currently the U.S. Embassy plays a significant role in development of relations between Armenia and NATO, since beginning from January 2007 the NATO office in Armenia is stationed on the bases of U.S. Embassy, and earlier the NATO office was stationed in Greece Embassy," Anthony Godfrey stated in Yerevan. The American diplomat said, for effective cooperation with NATO it is not quite necessary to be a member-state of that structure. As an example Mr. Godfrey referred to Armenia, which "effectively cooperates with the North Atlantic Alliance in the frameworks of Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) and "Partnership For Peace" (PFP) program." As another tool for successful development of relations between the RA and NATO, A. Godfrey named the Armenian Atlantic Association. "We see that this public organization significantly assist the Armenian government in fulfilling the commitments in IPAP framework," Anthony Godfrey summed up, "Novosti Armenia" reports.
