Kurdish state already existing in Northern Iraq

PanARMENIAN.Net - Kurdish state, which has all prerequisites for independence, already exists on the territory of Northern Iraq, Ruben Safrastyan, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies at the RA National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, told a news conference in Yerevan.



The U.S. has some plans as regards formation of Kurdish states in Iraq, Iraq, Syria and Armenia. "Implementation of these plans is unreal in the near future. However, if Turkey fails to resist the U.S. pressure Iraqi Kurdistan will sooner or later acquire independence officially," Safrastyan said.
