Italy encourages states which chose European way of developmentSeptember 19, 2007 - 18:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Sept. 19, Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian received the Italian parliamentary delegation led by Mr Umberto Ranieri, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Parliamentary Committee. Expressing satisfaction with the development of the Armenia-Italian relations, Minister Oskanian noted their importance for the European Neighborhood Policy. By the guests' request, he briefed on priorities of Armenia's foreign policy, relations with the neighbor states, the Karabakh peaceful process. He also commented on the Armenia-Turkey relations and our republic's attitude towards Turkey's EU membership. For his part, Mr Ranieri said that the purpose of the regional visit is to encourage the states, which have chosen the European way of development, the RA MFA reports.
