Armenia not going to recognize Kosovo independence

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia has no intention to recognize independence of Kosovo yet, RA Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian said in Yerevan today. The issue is under discussion and the decision will be announced when the time comes, according to him.

"Granting independence to Kosovo, the international community violated the legal norms but forgot Karabakh. Unlike Kosovo, no one granted independence to Nagorno Karabakh. It was the republic's achievement. This is the major difference between the conflicts," he said.

On February 17, 3008, Kosovo's parliament announced independence, which has already been recognized by the U.S. and some European states.
