Government measures can demonstrate state efficiency

PanARMENIAN.Net - It's impossible to give a definite answer how Armenia's domestic situation can affect the Karabakh settlement process, political scientist Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan said in an interview with PanARMENIAN.Net

"Much depends on the capability of the authorities to neutralize the consequences of the post-election passions. If there is no civil consent and riots end in bloodshed, the country can't pretend to serious international authority. On the other hand, operative and drastic measures taken by the government can not only demonstrate the state's efficiency but also help to smooth away the consequences of the recent disorders," he said.
