PanARMENIAN.Net - Cooperation with NATO is a priority in Armenia's foreign policy, an Armenian official.

"NATO Week includes various events aiming to raise public awareness of the Armenia-NATO cooperation. The Alliance's high-ranking officials, including NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Jean François Bureau are expected to visit our republic and hold a number of meetings," Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Gegham Gharibjanian said in his opening remarks.

According to Tevan Poghosyan, Director General of the Armenian Atlantic Association, this year's events envisage meetings with the Armenian young people to familiarize them with the NATO programs and missions.

The Armenian translation of "Opening NATO's Door" by Ronald D. Asmus was also presented today.

U.S. Charge d'Affairs in Armenia, Ambassador Joseph Pennington, who attended the presentation, said the book will be useful for all those interested in NATO's activities.
