Vernatun Tumanyan Studies Center established in Northern University of Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - On occasion of the 140th birthday of great Armenian writer and poet Hovhannes Tumanyan, Northern University of Armenia hosted "Tumanyan and 21st Century" Conference with participation of professors from Yerevan State University, Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University and Academy of Fine Arts.



Vernatun Center of Tumanyan Studies opening ceremony was held in the framework of the conference.



On February 20, Northern University administration is planning a trip to Tumanyan's native village Dsegh, where his heart was buried.



Tumanyan's body is interred in Tbilisi.
